The Final Question
Hey Girls! Remember in grade school when you had to write a report and you learned about covering the 6 main questions. The Who, What, Where, When, Why and How? Well, it's the same with setting goals. We've done the Who (you), the What (your specific goal), the How (your written plan of action) the When (Monday!), and the Where (your house, the gym, your mind). Today we need to cover the Why. The Why is extremely important. The Why is what gets you through the days that you feel like giving up. The Why helps you decide to choose Blessing instead of Cursing. The Why helps you make choices that get you closer to, not further from your goal. The Why helps you say NO! when your flesh screams pleeeeeasse??? Are you all convinced on the importance of the Why? Take out your paper that has your goals written on it. Read your goals, and ask yourself these questions....Why is this so important to me? Why do I want to do this? Why will this make my life better? You have to dig deep. If the reasons come from anyone other than yourself, they will not stand up to trials and temptation. Your spouse, friend, or mentor cannot tell you why you should do something. There have even been times when God has told me to do something, and that still wasn't enough, a truth I am not proud of. So write down your Why's. The more the better. Post them up in your house, or your car. Keep them next to your goals. Guard them and don't let anyone else decide whether or not they are valid. They are yours, and yours alone.
Okay Girls. It's time to dig in. Before you go to bed tonite, write down 3 things you can do tomorrow to help you reach your goal. Ask the Lord to help you organize your day so you can get your 3 things done. When you complete each thing, check it off. Do not let anything, or anyone rob you of the first 3 steps you are taking to reach your goal. You can do it!
Ephesians 3:16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.
Here we go-
