No Fear Here!

Hi Girls!  Remember when you were little and your family had the list of forbidden 4 letter words?   I've got some new ones for you.  They are 4 letter words that are forbidden when you are trying to reach your goals.   We are going to cover them over the next few days.  The first one is FEAR.  Fear of failure, fear of success, fear of whatever.  When you are striving towards  your goals, there will be times when you have the opportunity to experience fear.  What do you do?  Get rid of it!  In most cases it isn't valid!  Seriously, unless your goal is something along the extreme sports area, what do you have to be fearful of?  Fear is nothing but doubt.  Fear can only exist where fatih is absent!  You cannot have fear and faith operating in the same mindset!  You cannot say "I believe God has healed my shoulder injury, but I'm afraid if I exercise, I will hurt it again."  Now don't misunderstand me.  I am not suggesting that there aren't times when we have to adjust what we do based on our specific situation.  We have to use common sense.  If you have a shoulder injury, there are definitely certain excercises that are not recommended for you.  I've known people who's "shoulder injury" prevents them from walking on a treadmill!  I'm talking about when your fear prevents you from moving forward.  It is one of the devils favorite weapons.  If he can place fear inside of you, he knows you will not grow and move forward.  When I was moving into this leadership position, there were times when the devil would whisper "you know Jen, the more responsibility you take on, the more I'm going to attack.  I'll be there with you, every step of the way."  There were times when I felt it so strongly in made me shiver. Did it deter me?  No!  It only made me more fiesty.  When the devil tried to scare it away from me, it was only confirmation that I was in the will of God.   Otherwise, he wouldn't give a rip.  So girls, when you find yourself entertaining fearful thoughts throw a Word at the devil.  Remind him of what it says in 2 Timothy 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
