It's No Big Deal

Good Morning Girls!  Ready for todays 4 letter word?  FAIL.  What feelings or images come up when you say the word fail?  For some people the thought of failing is enough to prevent them from trying anything new.  They would rather stay exactly where they are at, even if they are miserable, than have the slightest chance of failing.  Realistically though, what's the big deal about failing?  Websters define's fail as 1. to prove deficient, or lacking 2. to be unsuccessful 3. to fall short of what is expected.  Sure, these aren't things you would want to describe you, but are they really enough to prevent you from stepping out and trying something that has the possibility of changing your life?  In most cases the most damage that occurs as a result of failing is to our egos.  If you have a clear understanding of who you are in Christ, you won't care if you fail!  Sure, you'll be bummed and discouraged for awhile.  All you need to do is pick yourself up and ask the Lord where things went wrong.  Was your plan not well thought out, did you not follow plans 100%, or, perhaps, your motive was wrong.  If you have goals that have the sole purpose of benefiting you, chances are, Gods grace will not be with you as much as if your motives are to help others.  After all, God called you to His kingdom to be a blessing to others!   If you ask me, there is only one thing that truly constitutes being labeled a failure, the rest need to be looked at as mistakes.  That one thing, will be tomorrows 4 letter word.

Proverbs 16:3 commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed

Love you all-
Jen
