Just Do It

Good Morning Girls!  We learned yesterday that God is the author on success.  It is not enough to believe in God, and believe He will grant you all the success you want.  There are certain things we need to do in our walk with the Lord in order to receive the power of success that comes from Him alone.  One of the obligations on our part is obedience.  There are commands we are all asked to obey as Christians, and there are also specific things the Lord asks us to obey as individuals.  The Lord may tell you that you should not drink pop, but your friend has received no such prompting.  The Lord may bring a specific fitness plan to one, and a different one to another.  He does this because He knows what is best for us!  When you receive direction from the Lord, it is in your best interest to respond immediately.  If you don't, the request does not go away.  God doesn't say "Your right, that was silly, never mind, carry on".  No, He waits, and waits, and sends a little confirmation your way, and then waits some more, He watches you struggle doing your own thing, and He waits.  In most cases, you will eventually obey, but it will be much harder.  I believe you lose a little grace each time you ignore the Lords promptings.  Sometimes the things God asks us to do don't always make sense.  God is simply testing our response to His obedience, to see if we are ready to handle the bigger ones.  As Charley learned in preschool...."obedience and blessings go hand in hand".  There is something we can do to make it easier to obey the commands of the Lord.  We will talk about that tomorrow.....

Josua 1:7 Be strong and very courageous.  Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you.  Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left.  Then you will succeed in everything you do.

Love you-
Jen
