Go Ahead- Ask Me

Who am I?  Who am I?   When I was a new mom, I was also only 3 years into my walk with the Lord.  Basically, I was a mom, and a baby at the same time!  When people would ask me "What do you do?", I would freeze for a moment, and then I would say something like this "right now I just stay home with Charley, but I used to be the sales manager at a health club."  "But I used to".....you see, at that point in my life, when someone asked me "what do you do?", I translated it into "Who are you?".  What I did in a day, determined who I was in the world.   The more important the job was, the more important I was.  You see this happen all the time in people who tie their self worth to their net worth.  Somehow the paycheck defines the man.  What I realized later, is that what I do, and who I am, are two different things.  It doesn't matter what I do, I am still a child of God.  If I am scrubbing toilets, I am a princess and a heir to the throne. If I am president of a company, I am more than a conqueror.  If I am in the welfare line, I am going to receive the crown of righteousness.  Who I am in Christ is not changed by what I am in the world!  Being a child of God, is the only WHO that matters!

Colossians 3:3-4  For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.  And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory

Love you all-
Jen
