Show Me The Love!
Good Morning Girls! The more I study the word love, I realize that I could spend the whole summer on just that word. Nonetheless, I am moving on. If you feel led to continue, go for it! I know you will be blessed. I am going to wrap up my love study by listing a few of the descriptions I found in the Word. God's love is: unfailing, faithful, perfect, genuine, immeasurable, never ending, merciful, real, patient, kind, hopeful, and enduring. Love covers a multitude of sin. The Word also makes it clear what love is not. It is not: jealous, boastful, proud, rude, demanding, selfish, or irritable. It does not keep record of wrongdoings. It does not rejoice over injustice. It does not quit! God is love! So what does that mean for us when studying the fruits of the Spirit? It means that when we have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us, we have the ability to love the unlovable, forgive the unforgivable, and continue to praise the Lord when life isn't going our way. It gives us the revelation that God loves us no matter what we have done, or what we may do. It gives us the desire to share Gods love with others so they may have the same peace that we do. It gives us hope, shelter, and strength. If you need a little love on the inside, ask for it! Invite the Holy Spirit to "move on in" and help you love others the way He wants you to. He will be happy to oblige!
