Rough Week Ahead!
Good Morning Girls! Patient-the capacity to endure hardship, difficulty, or inconvenience without complaint. Exhibiting calmness, self-control, and willingness or ability to tolerate delays. Capable of calmly awaiting an outcome or a result; not hasty or impulsive. Anyone want to take over this weeks topic for me? Seriously, I'm in a little over my head here. Let's just say that there was not a photo of me alongside the word patient in my Websters! Before I turn to the Word, let me just defend myself here. You see, I am a go getter! I don't have time to wait for everyone else to get on board. You all need to get on board and then ask where we are going! I am task oriented, goal oriented, results oriented. I live for the outcome more than the journey. I like to hyper focus on things. I believe that at Target and Costco there should be a reserved line for me at all times. I should have the magic button that the police have to turn the red lights green when I am running late. Nobody should ever be sitting in the right turn lane if I need to turn right, and they are going straight. My kids should simply do whatever I say, the first time, without asking me why. And please do not ever, I mean ever, do a return in front of me, especially if you do not have a receipt! What? What's that you say? It's not about me? The world doesn't revolve around me? A lot of people have been patient with me? Even God has been patient with me? He is still patient with me? He is being patient with me right now at this minute as I still fight the importance of patience? Fine, I will work on my patience......tomorrow.
Romans 2:4 Don't you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can't you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?
