I've Been Dreaming......
Hey Girls! LOVE...check. JOY....check. PEACE...check. PATIENCE...check. KINDNESS...check. GOODNESS.....check. FAITHFULNESS.....check. GENTLENESS.....check. SELF-CONTROL....check. Yep, looks like over the last few weeks we've covered them all. Guess that means we are all patiently going about our day with not a care in the world, joyfully singing a gentle song about faithfulness and kindness, as we love all the earth from all mankind down to crawling cockroaches. Oops, I just described my life as if I were Gizelle, the fair maiden in the movie Enchanted. Which, as you all know, I am not. I am a wife, mom, sister and friend, trying to do my best in the real world. A world that even Prince Edward recognized as being vile. A world where he asks the question "why does everything have to be so hard?". If you have not seen the movie, don't worry, I do not plan on making a habit out of referencing it in my blog. It's just been one of those weeks you know? A week where I find myself feeling like everything is just a little harder than it should be. A week where I would like to escape into a world of animation. A world where everyone is happy, healthy, perfect and entire wanting nothing! Hey! I just described heaven! If I were there, I could not be here, with you, in the trenches , learning to live a life worthy of His call! I would not be fighting the good fight with you! I would not be running my race! I would not be chasing my "pace car" as others also chase me! So, until His glorious return, I will lean on Him. I will ask the Holy Spirit daily to get rid of myself, and fill me with His presence. I will thank Him that as the Holy Spirit dwells within me, I am in fact able to live a life filled with a "fruit basket" full of blessings!
Galatians 5:22-23 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
