Friends in Favor
Good Morning Girls! I want to share with you another testimony of God's favor. It involves my friend April. April and I met and became friends about 8 years ago, and our friendship began with God's favor. It is an awesome testimony I will share at a later date. Tuesday morning while unloading my dishwasher, I suddenly felt led to pray specifically for favor for April. April is working on some fund raising for HomeMakers, so I assumed it was in regards to that. I prayed for her, and by the time I was done, I was so fired up, I believed she could have anything she asked for. I usually don't call someone when I am led to pray for them, but I was so excited and I felt it would be an encouragement to her to know that God's favor was upon her. I reached her voice mail, and since I often forget what I was going to say, I simply left the message saying, "April, when you get this, call me and remind me that the keyword is favor.". We didn't talk that day, and I forgot all about it. On Thursday, April and I were hanging out, and she said "I have a really cool testimony to tell you. I wasn't going to tell you today because it isn't complete, but I feel led to tell you right now so I am going to. The other day Matt received a phone call from a woman who saw our picture on the cover of the phone book (they are Realtors). The first thing she said is "I know this is going to sound strange, but are you by chance Christians? I felt led to call you. We have 4 kids and we have outgrown our town home. We need a bigger place and would like to meet you." Now, some of you may want to think that it is because their picture is on the phone book that they received the call. Let me assure you it is not. The reason I know is because they have not received any calls ever before due to the photo. In fact, they have been feeling frustrated for paying the expense of the photo when it has not brought them any business (only recognition at the gym). I asked her what day that was. She said Wednesday. I suddenly remembered praying for her. I asked her if she remembered what day I left her the message that simply said favor. She said Tuesday. I told her how I felt led to pray for her favor and we both got excited all over again! Now, if I would not have prayed for her favor, would that have still happened? Of course it would've!! When God has a plan for someone, it gets done. I believe He let me be a part of it for 2 reasons. First, it provided April with increased confidence and reassurance that God has His hand on their business. Second, it increased my confidence that I am listening to, and obeying the promptings of the Holy Spirit. There is nothing more exciting than being part of someone else's testimony! So girls, take a moment today to thank the Lord for His favor, and ask him to open your eyes so that you may see it at work in your lives!
Psalm 90:17 May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us-yes, establish the work of our hands

I also believe, personally, that we are in the midst of a spiritual battle and prayer can help the spiritual beings on our side to overcome the spiritual beings on the "dark" side...your prayer could've made all the difference!

I should have explained myself better. Yes, I agree and believe in the power of prayer. What I was trying to say is that it was not me. If I wouldn't have listened to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, I believe God would have used someone else. That is what I meant when I said His plan would be fullfilled, with or without me and my prayer. Hope that makes sense.
