Are You Malnourished?

Good Morning Girls!  Someone commented on my blog the other day, saying how they loved my "tough love" approach.  I started to laugh because I never thought of myself that way.  I went back and read the last few entries, and I see that I am building some momentum here, and I'm hoping you all can stick with me.  I am not quite ready to slow down.  There are only 3 blog entries left until I head off to Washington, so I am going to keep on pushing you just a little further.  You will have a week to recover while I am gone!  I know there are still a few of you out there, reading the blogs who log off thinking, "hmmm, that's good", but go right back to your same daily routine.  I know you are out there, because for many years I was one of you.  I have always been interested in health and fitness.  I have always wanted to be better.  I have always understood the commitment and discipline required.  I even had periods of time throughout my life when I honed in on that discipline and looked and felt great.  But for the most part, I was always on the sideline.  I was always thinking "hmmm, that's good", but I never fully got off the bench.  I have told you before that for years I was either starting, stopping, or quitting some type of diet.   Well, for the first time, that is no longer my life.  The great thing is, I am actually eating better than I have in years.  That is because I am no longer doing things for a desired outcome (primarily weight loss), but because I simply believe the things I am doing are the right things for me to do.  Notice the for me?  I do not know what is the right thing for you to do.  I only know where the Lord has been leading me, and I am taking you down the path with me in hopes that you will discover what is right for you!  I do believe one thing that applies to every single one of us.  I believe that God cares for the well being of our physical body as much as He cares about our spiritual self.  I believe He wants our mind, body, and spirit to be complete, whole, and healthy.  I believe in order to accomplish that, we need to feed and discipline each area.  We need to feed our Spirit with the Word and with prayer.  We need to feed our body with the right foods.  We need to feed our mind with the promises of God, and not the junk food the world has to offer.  Take a moment today and ask the Lord to help you see what you can do to take care of yourself the way He wants you to.  Ask Him for the desire and discipline to start feeding yourself better.  Ask Him what part of you needs the most nourishment.  Is it your mind, your body, or your spirit?  If you are willing to ask, He will answer.  Remember, He will never ask you to do something you are not able to do.  Trust Him!  Feel free to let me know what you learn!

3 John 1:2  Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit.

Tough love you all-
Jen
