Gotta Run
Good Morning Girls! I got a phone call yesterday from my "perfect" friend. She called to give me her list of vices. Guess what, she in fact does have her things that she struggles with. Now you probably think this made me feel better huh? Well, it didn't. It did remind me that we will never fully understand what someone else's life is like. We may understand pieces of it, but we will never be able to experience exactly what someone else experiences. It is easy to feel like the "grass is always greener" for someone's else's life. But we will never know the sacrifices someone else has made, or the decisions they were faced with. I was reminded that God has set before each of us our own race. We are to run our race, not someone else's. So after my little whineball moment, and my revelations, I am now looking at my situation differently. I may not understand fully why I feel led by the Spirit to cut certain things out of my life. I may not know what the end result will be. I may not enjoy every moment of this journey. But I do trust the Father. I trust that He would not ask me to do certain things if it were not to better me in some way. I trust that He wants me to live a blessed life. I trust that He wants me to be healthy. I trust that He wants me to prosper. I trust that He wants me to be a mighty warrior and woman of God! It's time for me to get my running shoes on and head to my race......I'll see you at the finish line!
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us.
Love you all,
Jen
