Good Morning Girls!  Last week, while talking to a couple of my girlfriends, one of them mentioned my blog.  I told them that there are a couple of men who have started reading.  I said I had tried to start my blog with a greeting that welcomed them, but I just couldn't.  I do not feel right unless I start with "Good Morning Girls".  I know it may sound silly, but I start that way because I really feel like when I write, I am actually sitting with you talking to you.  I was once at Target early in the morning.  At about 7:45 they called all the "team members" together.  They had a quick sales meeting before they started their day.  They talked about what the goals were for the day, and how they were to go about achieving them.  They finished with a "yeah Target team" cheer at the end.  You know, like a football team does before breaking huddle.  Well girls, that what my heart feels like each morning.  Like I've got you all huddled in my living room, share with you what on my heart, and end with a "yeah Girls".  So, men, of course I love that you are willing to venture into the estrogen zone, but I can't change where my heart is.  My friend really summed it up best.  She said "Jen, the name of your website is what real women do.  I mean, what more do you need to say?"  I laughed and said, "your right.  I'm not going to worry about it anymore!".  Saturday morning I was doing my data entry work and I kept thinking: what real women do....what real women do......What do REAL women do?  In my head I started listing what I thought real women did.  But that was simply my opinion.  Well, the Holy Spirit got me stirred up when I heard him say "why don't ask the Lord what real women do?" I was so fired up I couldn't wait to finish my work so I could get in the Word and see what God says about us.  I spent 2 hours (which seemed like 2 minutes) looking at scriptures about women.  Of course, I only scratched the surface, but the Lord showed me things that made my head spin!  So girls (and brave men), we are kicking off Women Week!  It is good to be a Girl, and I hope you all feel the same way by the time we are done.  And men, you know it deep down inside....you would be lost without us......it even says that in the Word!
