Day 15 Love is Honorable
Good Morning Girls! Hope you all had time to catch up on the Love this weekend! Last night I sat with Tom and watched football instead of hanging out on the computer. I usually hang out on the computer while he is watching tv, but I realized the computer was providing the companionship that Tom was supposed to be providing, so I took some time off. The result....when the kids and I were hanging out in the living room he came out and hung out with us, without me even asking. He also sat down at the table and ate with us instead of sitting in his favorite chair to eat as he watched the game. Now to some of you, these may seem like simple things. Things that should be happening all the time. Whether they should or shouldn't doesn't matter. The point is, they haven't been occurring and now they have started to. That, my dear girls is a sign of breakthrough!
I continue to keep my mouth shut unless the words I offer have value. I have not made a snide remark in weeks. The result....he is speaking a little more, not yet a jabber jaw, but he is definitely doesn't seem to be playing defense with me every time I open my mouth. Again, a sign of breakthrough!
So girls, keep on pressing in. Take time today to notice the small changes, the mini victories. Thank the Lord for these humble beginnings.....I believe much greater things are to come!
Assignment:
Choose a way to show honor and respect to your spouse that is above your normal routine. It may be the way you listen and speak in your communication. show your mate that he or she is highly esteemed in your eyes.
Questions:
How did you choose to show honor? what was the result? What are some other ways you could demonstrate honor in the coming days?
Jeremiah 30:19 I will also honor them and they will not be insignificant
Love you all-
Jen
