Good Morning Girls!  And the Lord just keeps pouring out the blessings!!!  Whoo-Hoo!  God is good!  Yesterday, my friend Jen and I were driving home from taking the kids sledding.  Tom called and said "we just received an invitation for an all expense paid vacation to Cancun.  It includes airfare and hotel at the Ritz-Carlton.  I know this is last minute.  We have to respond by 2pm. (it was 1:15)  I didn't even know if it would be something you are interested in?"  My response "Just the 2 of us, or the kids also"...."Just the 2 of us"..."YES!  YES!  YES!!  I want to go.  I don't know how we can do it, but I want to go.  Tom, this is an answer to prayer.  I prayed for a vacation for us this fall! I don't know how we will do it, but we will."  Before I even hung up the phone Jen said "I'll do it.  I'll watch the kids."  Next thing you know, I am searching the house looking for birth certificates and finding out how fast I can get our passports.  Now, for many of you you think I am excited about the trip itself....which I am.  I mean come on, you should see this hotel it is a 6 diamond hotel (i thought it only went up to 5).  Tom and I have not been on vacation just the 2 of us for 8 years!  Of course I am excited for the actual trip.  However, what I am tickled pink about is the fact that my heart's instinct was to say "yes! yes!  yes!".  I'm telling you girls 3 weeks ago I would have said "well, I don't know what we will do with the kids.  I don't know who we could ask.  I don't know where our birth certificates are.  I don't think this is a good time"  I would have said that because deep down I would have thought "what are we going to do for 5 days with out the kids?  I won't have a computer.  I won't have my girls!  I will be so lonely".  Now, I can't wait to get out of here and lay by the pool with my hubby! I'm telling you, I am like a giddy school girl!  Once again, it is becoming clear to me why the Lord had me start this journey on January 1st, rather than wait until marriage month in February. obedience and blessings go hand in hand.......
So how did I honor Tom yesterday?  I think he was pleasantly surprised at how excited I am to go away with him.  When I asked if anyone else was going he said "NO", and I said  "Good".  I 'm sure this surprised him as i am usually the "more the merrier" kind of girl!  We spent more time talking about the trip than we have talked about anything in a long time.  We leave 4 weeks from tomorrow....pretty much the day the Love Dare ends!  Wow!  Do i say God is good yet......HE IS!!!!!
So girls, do not grow weary.  I told you all our God is a God of suddenly's.......now I can say for myself "I told you so!"  Thanks for being here to share this awesome high (especially since you've been on the lows) with me.  It makes it all the more sweeter!  did I tell you all God is good?  did I tell you He's good all the time?  He is!
