Day 23 Love Always Protects
Good Morning Girls! Yesterday we were told to inform our spouse that we were choosing to love them no matter what. Regardless of how they felt or acted to us, we are choosing to love them. Well, this didn't seem quite fitting for me to do since we just had a breakthrough the night before. So, I purposed yesterday to show Tom in little ways how much he means to me. Instead of yelling good bye to him from whatever room I was in, I ran to the door and sent him off with an "I love you" and a kiss. We talked more during the day, and more last night. We are having "safe" conversations, but we are having conversations.
Yesterday when I called him at work his partner answered the phone. He said "by the way, congratulations". I had no idea what he was talking about so I said "on being the best wife in the world?". He said "that too, but on your achievement. Tom told me you were a runner up on that workout thing you were doing. You may not have won, but it's really cool that you were recognized." I was shocked! Not only did Tom know what was going on, but he shared it with Kevin! What do you know......he is proud of me...and he shared that with some else! I was shocked! Looks like I've been a little hard on him.....who would have guessed (insert laughter).
If any of you are in a position where yesterday's assignment is appropriate, let me know how it went! Also, I rented FireProof yesterday. I have mixed feelings whether or not we should watch it now, or wait until I am done. What do you all think? My friend says my journey has so many similarities to the movie it gives her goosebumps! I don't want to be distracted, I want to continue down my path. Let me know what you think!
Assignment:
Remove anything that is hindering your relationship, any addiction or influence that's stealing your affections and turning your heart away from your spouse. (you may have to ask the Lord for help if nothing comes to mind)
Questions:
What did you throw out first? Are there others that need to go as well? What do you hope the removal of these things will do for your, your marriage, and your relationship with God?
Job 22:23 You will be restored in you remove unrighteousness far from your tent
love you all-
