Embracing Your Inner "She"

Good Morning Girls!  Yesterday I told you all there is a certain responsibility that comes with being a "She".  We are not to keep it to ourselves.  We are to share it with others in order that they may learn and grow as well.

As I sent out the message, I pictured you all reading it.  I figured there would be a couple of responses.  There were most likely some of you who read it and thought "hey, I am a  "She" at this, or that, and felt convicted to take it more seriously".  Others of you may have read and thought "I wonder if I will ever be a "She.", and walked away feeling a little let down.

Let me assure you, you are all a "She" in some area!  Let me share a few "She's" in my life.  There is Jess, who does not simply cut hair.  No, she can take anyone and identify the look that is best for them, and transform them into a more confident, beautiful woman.  My friend Angel, has a word of encouragement for everyone.  She accepts no form of self loathing.  She gives encouragement to all.  I listen to her encourage someone that I may want to strangle at the time and think "how does she have so much compassion and ability to encourage everyone all the time?".   My friends Jen and Jeremy serve in our church at a level I have never seen- always with a happy heart.  Their ability to serve spills into every area of their life.  My friend Mel has the ability to smile, and lift up others, as she stands in the middle of a hurricane.  Her strength and resolve blow me away.

That is just a few examples.  I could go on and on.  Every single person in my life is a "She" to me in some way.  That is how God made us.  He created us to work and function together.  He gave us all unique gifts and abilities, so that when we came together as the church body, we would be complete.  We all have specific purposes we were created for.  Some of them are universal for the whole church body, some of them are specific to us as individuals.   What I want you to understand is that God created you to be a "She".  We are to be a light.  You are a light....you just need to discover where to "plug in" so you can shine for the Lord!

Take some time today to ask the Lord to reveal to you where you should "plug-in" so you may shine for Him!  If you are still feeling like you are not a "She", e-mail me, I will tell you how your light shines in my life!

Romans 12:6-8 In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.  So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you.  If your gift is serving others, serve them well.  If you are a teacher, teach well.  If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging.  If it is giving, give generously.  If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously.  And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.

Love all you bright lights-
Jen
