Back to Work.........
Good Morning Girls! I apologize for bailing out on you again for the last week or so. I was scheduled to teach at HomeMakers last Tuesday and I knew I could not have my heart in two places at once.
Now I've been assuming that you all know what HomeMakers is.....an assumption based on my belief that the majority of women who read this are either from HomeMakers, or know someone who is.
But I received an e-mail today from a beautiful Girl by the name of Michele. She is a busy mother of 3 who lives in North Carolina. She told me she has been reading my writing for about 9 months now......and gave me a word of encouragement to continue. I was surprised, blessed, and moved to tears all at once. The Lord's goodness never ceases to amaze and inspire me!
So for those of you who do not know- HomeMakers is a small group at our church. And by small I mean about 200 women, or as we call ourselves, "Girls". We meet every Tuesday morning during the school year. It is an awesome time of fellowship and teaching on how to be our best at being a mother, wife, sister, friend, and daughter of the Most High God. We are hungry for Gods Word......and we are fun! We are not your typical "womens group". We do not sit around smiling politely at each other, while secretly thinking snide remarks. NO....when HomeMakers is in session you will hear genuine belly laughs and shrieks of excitement as we share our lives with each other. You will see us sharing tears of joy and sadness as we share our hearts with each other. You will see women transform before your very eyes as they learn just how much God loves them and has special plans for them.
Now I tell you all of this not to make those of you who do not attend HomeMakers feel bad. No-I tell you this because even if you do not live here in Minnesota, you can still be part of HomeMakers! We already have many women in different states (I think even different countries) that participate in HomeMakers via our website. Our website is www.smallgroups.lwcc.org. You can go to this website, click on HomeMakers on the left hand side and then you will have access to all of our teachings via mp3 downloads. You can also download the study sheet which includes Bible verses for you to look up during the week. The teachings are real, relevant, and practical to our everyday lives as "Girls". If you have never listened to one- I recommend you check it out. I know you will be blessed!
Anyway, I taught last Tuesday and that explained my one week leave of absence. However, it does not explain how one week easily turned to two. I was starting to wonder if I had lost all desire to write again- and wondering how that could have happened. But in my quiet time with the Lord this morning- I understood what had happened.
For those of you who didn't hear my teaching last Tuesday- I shared with everyone my personal love story of how I fell in love with Jesus. I shared how I fell in love with Him 10 years ago- and how I fell in love with Him all over again just weeks ago. I really am smitten with Him!
I am so in love with Jesus that it would seem that I would want to tell the whole world about Him. And I do....it's just that, for a while anyway, I wanted Him all to myself.
Think about what it's like when you first fall in love. You want to spend every waking moment with that person. You want them all to yourself. You ditch your friends and family and spend all of your free time with your Love. Well, that's what it's been like for me. I have had the most awesome time with the Lord, and I am excited to share Him with you......but I wanted to keep our new relationship private for a while. I was feeling a little possessive. A little selfish. A little protective- not wanting to taint this fragile relationship and turn it back into a works program.
But I am back! I am excited to share my Love with all of you. I've got a job to do. Not a works job, but a spread the Good News job! Thank you Michele, mother of 18 month old twins and a 3 year old- for reminding me that the Lord has shown me His love, so I may in return share it with you! For one thing is for sure.....I will never run out of things to write about........
John 21:25 Jesus did many other things. If they were all written down, I suppose the whole world could not contain the books that would be written.
Love you all-
Jen
