Found It!
Good Morning Girls! One down, thirty nine to go. Yep, I decided to go ahead and start over yesterday. I found my sugar free wagon (with help from a friend) and hopped back on. It’s amazing the difference one day can make. More than physically feeling better, mentally I feel much stronger. I feel stronger because I did something I was unsure that I could do. And I am starting to see that maybe that is a big reason the Lord asks us to do different things. He wants us to realize we are capable of doing things we thought were impossible. Sure, we go around quoting “All things are possible through Christ who strengthens me”, but when it comes to practical application our brain goes tilt and says “Really……really……can I do this….even with help from God?”
It’s funny how something as simple as saying no to sugar for a day translates into me feeling like I can claim victory over other areas of my life. Just as defeat in one area spills over into other areas, so does victory.
Now if you tried to do, (or not do) something recently, and you did not succeed as you had hoped, that does not mean you are a failure. It does not mean you will be unsuccessful in all areas of your life. It simply means you need to try again. I know your confidence may be shaken (I know mine was….and still is a little), but all it takes is one day of victory and you will have some confidence momentum going. Before you know it, the things you thought you would never be able to take control of will no longer seem so daunting. But you will never learn that truth….if you don’t try.
So Girls, find your wagon and get back on. You can do it! You can do all things! No really….seriously….you can do all things! It’s not just a cool bumper sticker…..it is as real as the Lord himself!
Philippians
Love, strength, and confidence to you all,
Jen
