Your Divine Appointment

Good Morning Girls!  I love hearing about Divine appointments.  You know, stories about being at "just the right place....at just the right time".  I'm sure many of you have experienced them before.  You just "happen" to call a friend you haven't spoke to in a very long time only to find her down and struggling and in need of a friendly voice.  You just "happen" to go to a store, one you don't normally go to even, only to discover there is someone there who needs a word of encouragement.  You just "happen" to get the best Dr for your situation....because your regular scheduled Dr had a schedule conflict.

The world dismisses these as co-incidence.  We know they are in fact Divine appointments. They are moments arranged by the Lord.  Sometimes they are for our benefit.  Other times we are being used for someone else (which still benefits us because it feels so awesome to be used by God).  I have heard many Pastors and friends talk about these appointments and I confess they are some of my favorite testimonies!

Today I would like to share with you the Divine appointment that sent me missing in action for 60+ days..........

It was September 22nd.  I had just found out that I got a part time job with a local pizza place hanging coupons on doors.  I had mixed emotions about this.  Before I went in to meet with the owner I  was like "Are you serious?  This is what you have planned for me Lord?".  Of all the crazy dreams in my heart, hanging pizza coupons was not one of them!

I had me a little prayer meltdown and when I asked the Lord if this was really the plan He answered, "It is for now".  So I got in my car and headed for this very important interview "ooh...I sure hope I get the job...I sure hope I am qualified enough to walk and hang up a coupon".  My self pity got me laughing and by the time I got to the store I was ready with my "Take a look at your new coupon hanger employee of the month" game face on!

I met with him for 5 minutes and he must have been able to see my door hanging "gifting" as he asked me to start the next Monday! Lol  Surprisingly I was very excited when I left.  It actually felt great to have a plan.....even if the plan seemed odd and random.

I felt very blessed, thankful, and strangely excited.  I wanted to share God's goodness and faithfulness with you all.  I decided to stop at Caribou so I could blog.  I hadn't blogged in a long time.  My website had been frozen for days.  At this moment though I felt like if i did not sit down to write, my heart would explode.  Wasn't sure why Caribou was the destination.  I really do not like Caribou!  There is a Dunn Bros across the parking lot, which I love.  For some reason though I knew I was heading to Caribou.........

Psalm 40:5  Your plans for us are too numerous to list

Peace, Love, and a moment of suspense to you all-

Jen
