Good Morning Girls!  Thought I should put a little message out to you all in Minnesota who woke up, looked out your window and said "You have got to be kidding me!".  I know I did!

Yes, the first thing out of my mouth as I rolled over to shut off my alarm and was blinded by the view out my window (I don't believe in window treatments...) was "You have got to be kidding me......"  BUT then.....from a place way down deep, my second thought was "This is the day the Lord has made I will rejoice and be glad in it!"  I started laughing.

So you may all think I was doing one of my sarcastic "whatever" laughs, but I wasn't.  I was laughing because last night as I sat down to read my Bible, this is one of the verses the Lord brought me to.  Being the spiritual snob that I can be sometimes my thoughts were "yeah, yeah, I know this one Lord......it's like the first one kids memorize when they are in pre-school". (hey- I am just being honest here.....)

However, as that verse went off in my spirit this morning I realized just why the Lord had brought me to this verse last night.  He knew I would need it!  He knew just about everyone in Minnesota would need it!  He knew that even though we appreciate the fact that God has given us a new day, we often want to trade his manna for a big juicy steak!

Now I am not getting all high and mighty on my soap box here telling you all "you should be happy today because the Lord made today"....oh wait....I guess I am......

But THIS is why I think today is so great.....our God is a personal God!  He sat silly me down last night and gave me a verse for today....knowing it would make me laugh!  You see, it's not the verse that has me rejoicing as much as it is the fact that the Lord brought me to it last night.  This morning it felt like my own personal little joke between me and the Lord.  Like He was looking down, smiling at me and saying "It may be an oldie....but it's a goodie.....I know exactly what you need.....right down to what Word is going to get you going in the morning".  Now how cool is that!

But here's the deal!  He made it very strong in my spirit that this wasn't just for me!  You know how when you hear a good joke you can't wait to tell someone else?  Well that's how it is here.  God made me smile....He wants me to pass it on to you........

So Girls, if you are having an "Are you kidding me?" kind of a day, take some time to sit with the Lord and let him show you just how personal he is.  I t will have you heart melting.....just the snow will by the end of tomorrow!

Psalm 118:24  This is the day the Lord has made.  We will rejoice and be glad in it.
