Debilitated

Good Morning Girls!  Over the last couple of days I have been sharing with you some of the struggles I have been dealing with over the last couple of years.

Yesterday the Lord showed me that what I was really pointing out are some of the tricks that the enemy uses to make us turn from our beliefs and ultimately turn from our faith.

And God is not only awesome and faithful.....He truly does know each of us personally!  He knew I would get a kick out of the fact that my first two tricks started with the letter "D", and proceeded to entertain me with a variety of "D" words- "Danger Words" throughout the day.

Today's word is debilitated.

Debilitated: showing impairment of energy or strength

Think about the times that you feel emotional, weak, frustrated, or hurt.  Think about the moments that you are filled with doubt and uncertainty.  Do those moments come on the days that you are well rested, energized, and healthy?  Of course not.  They usually occur on the days when you are tired, sick, restless, or over stretched.

The devil knows that if he can wear you out he can wear you down.  He knows that when your mental, emotional, or physical health is impaired it will just be a matter of time before you your spiritual health is impaired as well.

There are things we can do in the natural to prevent ourselves from becoming worn out and weary.  We can drink plenty of water, eat healthy, exercise, and get plenty of rest.  However, even when we do our part, there are still many things that are out of our control.

All the water in the world will not take the weariness of a sick child away.  All the exercise you can handle will not pay the bills.  All the fruits, veggies, and organic lean meat can not prevent a car from breaking down, a child that goes astray, or a marriage filled with strife.

The devil will use anything and everything to wear you down.......To leave you debilitated and ready for his final round of attack.  Sometimes it happens slowly and deliberately.  Other times you get nailed with what feels like a hundred random attack arrows all at once.  Either way you find yourself debilitated, worn out, weary, and in a dangerous position.

It is in this debilitated state that you are the most vulnerable.  It is in this state that the devil can fill your mind with lies, doubt, and "a better way".

Girls, if you find yourself feeling a bit debilitated, don't try to think your way through it- you will only entertain conversation with the devil.  Instead of wasting time and energy you don't have with him, go to the great Rehabilitator.  He will turn that weariness into strength and get you back on your feet!

Isaiah 40:29 NAS He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He gives power!

Love, peace, and a weary free day to you all-
Jen
